It is said Kenyans abroad remit home close to $1 billion (Sh70 billion) annually.
The remittances have served the country in many ways, including stabilising the shilling. The Government has recognised the potential of Kenyans in the Diaspora. In the past few months, there has been a whirlwind of Government activity to speak, entice and persuade Kenyans abroad to do more for the country’s economic growth.
