Pakistan: THE RUPEE: 30 paisa gain in interbank market

First half remittances up 19.40 percent

KARACHI (January 18, 2008): Remittances sent home by overseas Pakistanis continued to show a rising trend as an amount of $3,066.33 million was received in the first half (July-December 2007) of the current fiscal year 2007-08, showing an increase of $498.31 million or 19.40 percent over the same period of the last fiscal year.
